In some cases, there is a need not to intentionally use black when printing images on black t-shirts. In this case, the color of the t-shirt is that same black ink, our task is to use it correctly and accurately.
The underbase is the most important part, you need to keep all the shadows for the correct transmission of colors when printing
First generate the black channel using the Black BG button, and then the background with the Auto Ubase button. You will get a preliminary result as in the picture below.
Now, having called up the menu of brightness and contrast with the Enhance Ch button, you need to adjust the Brightness so that the picture of the shadows is most similar to the original image. In our case, the setting is as follows:
Compare the two previous images, on the second we have a more elaborate black-and-white picture. It is also worth remembering that, by reducing the brightness of individual sections, to work out the shadows, we lose the percentage of fill. Screen printing in general (and for some industries with limited capabilities) is characterized by poor printing of rasters with a fill of less than 5%. On the monitor, the image may look good, but during the printing process, as well as during the printing process itself, you may lose or poorly print a raster with a fill of less than 5%.
For such cases, an additional dark gray frame can be introduced in order to replace areas with a raster of less than 5% with a dark gray color, which has a higher fill percentage. Such a gray can be generated using the Color 2 buttons and the Gray button. In this case, we use the Gray button. after which we replace the original gray with a darker one.
After you have generated an additional dark gray channel, you can remove all places with a low percentage. fillings on the substrate channel. Press the Levels button and reduce the range from 255 to 251.
Next, you need to perform standard color separation using Basic colors with a standard 10% channel transparency.
