The Control  Panel
Here are all controls of the color separation process. They are grouped by functionality.

Color Filter Set. Allows you to separate any image into selected colors.

Dark colors and color adjustment set. Using this set you can adjust the composition of each selected area according to the color composition. Includes ready-made shadow patterns and manual mode with fine adjustment of color composition.

Gray Range Set. Converts an image to different parts of a gray range.
Used for color separation of mono-color images for screen printing (human skin, colored glass, metal objects)

Monochrome Set. Generates two kinds of black, two kinds of gray and highlight.

Operation Set. Contains popular functions for color separation

Rasterization set. Rasterizes the image and stores the result in the channels with the same colors that were in the original.
Suitable for both viewing and editing images in a raster, and film output.

Manual underbase

Advanced feature for underbase generation will be useful in color separation for screen printing. It allows you to get exactly as much white under each of the colors as you need. With the help of a manual underbase, you can absolutely accurately control the process of creating a underbase.

Manual black

Advanced function to generate black. It works similarly to the Manual Underbase function. It allows you to get exactly as much black over each of the colors as you need. With the manual black you can absolutely accurately control the process of creating the black channel.

Raster preview

With the raster preview function, you can solve a number of tasks in color separation.

  1. You will see how your print will look like when printed. Usually at this stage you can identify and correct a number of inaccuracies that are difficult to identify when processing an image without a raster. I would like to pay particular attention to the fact that during rasterization a full copy of the file is created and each rasterized layer is already in the channels and is painted in the color corresponding to the original.
  2. You will be able to generate a raster in high resolution and send a completely finished file to the output of the films, where all gradients and tones are transferred as you need, since the rasterized file is the final file. Eliminating, therefore, any changes to the gray fill during the rasterization stage on the side.
  3. You can edit the file at the raster level, which is also sometimes useful.
  4. Selective rasterization. Rasterize only gradients, while leaving the spots with clear edges without rasterization. It is very useful, and this tool is always with you at hand.

Multicolor raster preview tool. Regular raster

Now you can use an irregular raster. 4 types of Dot work and 6 types of Line work are available + preview mode, in this mode you can see how the image will look after rasterization and choose the most suitable option. The plugin supports combining different types of raster (regular and irregular) in one file.

Additional colors

The advanced color function works with a gray tone. With it, you can extrude different parts of the tone, and colorize it in the color you want. By default, the colors of human skin are assigned, but with this function you can work with images of any type, especially with those where there are small, but very important color changes.

Manual Color tool

When preparing a color separation file, it is very often necessary to edit a separate color channel. Since in software for color separation, channels are generated using a filter system, the color composition of channels that are close in color spectrum to each other can intersect. The filter cannot completely eliminate parasitic overlays from related parts of the color spectrum on its own. Just for independent editing of the color composition of a separate channel, the Manual Color tool is provided.

With this tool, you can edit (for example) the gray color so that it matches the shade you want. The plugin generates many types of gray for comfortable work, and you can edit each of them depending on your task. This gives a huge scope for solving creative and professional problems in color separation. In this video, we will just look at an example of how the Manual Color tool works with shades of gray.
